1. Составление тематического глоссария.  
2. Подготовка презентации в формате Power-Point следующего 
содержания: официальное личное представления аудитории в качестве будущего (действующего) сотрудника, информация о подразделении МВД, в котором работаете или намерены работать; основные цели и задачи данного подразделения и функциональные 
обязанности сотрудника. 
3. Практическая реализация межкультурной деловой коммуникации: проведение по тематике проекта круглого стола в форме 
деловой игры.

This special English course is designed to meet communication 
needs of law enforcement professionals who work in the police agency 
to catch criminals and make sure that community members obey 
the law.  
It is suitable for staff from a range of different backgrounds, 
including the police, internal troops, border guards, customs officials 
and security officers. Its content covers the whole spectrum of law 
enforcement activity from basic policing, everyday encounters with 
members of the public, victims and offenders to associate with 
international colleagues for cross-border investigations. 
Some aspects of your speaking and writing ability can only improve 
over a long period. You will become more proficient by studying, by 
reading and by listening to English, as well as by communicating and 
by practicing in Grammar and Vocabulary. 
However, there are certain strategies that you should use at the 
studying time or work, which will help you to achieve better 
assessments on those particular occasions. 
 
Don’t worry too much about accuracy. Focus on what you are 
saying rather than how you are saying it; 
 
Try to give full answers to any questions. You can extend your 
replies in various ways, such as giving examples, or giving 
reasons for things you say; 
 
Organize what you want to say into clear parts and make it clear 
when you are moving from one part to another; 
 
Read the task and the instructions in the book very carefully; 
 
Look attentively at the data (graph, chat or diagram) before you 
begin doing task; 
 
Use connectives to help your audience to follow the sequence of 
ideas or information.

Rita Gonsales is 43 year old next month. She lives in Richardson, Texas 
and works for the Dallas Police Department. She is an officer. Her 
husband is also a law enforcement officer, but he doesn’t work in the 
same department. They have a 14-year-old son, Matthew. 
Like most law enforcers Gonsales works shifts. This week (Week 4 
in the rota) she is on the early shift. She starts work at 07.00 and 
finishes at 15.00. 
When she is on her early shift she gets up at 05.00.  she spends a 
few minutes with her family, then puts on her uniform and goes to 
work. She always drives to work. She doesn’t take public transport 
because it isn’t reliable. 
It usually takes an hour to get to work. When she arrives at the
