Antioxidant protection system was evaluated by the total antioxidant 
activity (AOA) of blood according to G. I.  Klebanov et al. (1988), αtocopherol level according to the method of R. Ch. Cherniauskane et al. 
(1984), the superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity according to the method 
of H. P.  Misra I., Fridovich (1972). The measurements were carried out 
using spectrofluophotometer «Shimadzu"
RF-1501 and spectrophotometer 

"Shimadzu" RF-1650.
Correlation analysis with the calculation of the Pearson correlation 
coefficient (r) for p <0.05 was carried out to evaluate the 
relationship. While working with patients and healthy children, ethical 
principles, recommended by the Declaration of Helsinki of the World 
Medical Association (2008), were followed.

RESULTS

Positive correlation between SOD and PI (r = 0.53) and negative 
correlation between DC and PI (r = -0.48), DC and RI (r = -0.48), 
reflecting the balance of physiological processes in a healthy body, 
were observed in the control group.
The number of correlation relationships increases up to 6 in the group 
of children diagnosed with arterialhypertension. Correlations between 
SOD and PI (r = 0.54) do not differ from the data, received in the 
control group. The negative impact of lipid peroxidation products on 
the vascular wall demonstrates the correlation between MDA and TAMAX (r 
= - 0.59) and DC, and S/D (r = 0.56).Correlations between AOA and TAMAX 
(r = 0.59), α-tocopherol, and RI (r = -0.49) and AOA, and PI(r = 
0.58) indicators prove the body's response to strengthening of the 

lipid peroxidation processes. Thus, the obtained data are consistent 
with the fact that LPO-AOP components affect changes of neurohumoral 
regulation of the blood vessels, playing an important role in the 
pathogenesis of arterial hypertension.
